I’m going to present to you a mentality that should be at the core of your thinking as you plan this beast of a hen party 👇
Hen party activity and service providers LOVE big groups (ourselves included). Big groups mean big profit. If you say you’re looking to book an activity for 16+ hens, providers will do a cartwheel in their mind. You should use this to negotiate!
Most providers will have a price per hen. This price might slightly decrease as the number of hens goes up. It is not cheeky for you to ask for a further reduction in the price per hen. I doubt any provider will dig their heels in (we sure wouldn’t!). When we have a hen party for a large group, it’s like getting paid for two sessions. Use this to negotiate!
Same goes for the big bar chains for activities such as Cocktail Making and Bottomless Brunches. You’re taking a large group. If you have 20 hens and the cocktail making is £30 per hen, that’s £600 you’re bringing in the door. And remember, the profit in alcohol is high. They should be rolling out the red carpet. Ask for a discount!
How great would it be for you to tell your hen crew that you’ve saved them at least £5 each for each activity? 💪

The big point to focus on is that some activities will have a minimum number requirement, or a minimum charge (meaning that the cost per hen will be higher vs. a large group). For example, if you’re looking for a Flower Crown Workshop, there is a minimum charge of £360. So if you have 10 hens it’s £36 per hen and if you have 6 hens it’s £60 per hen. There are some activities that have a lower minimum number requirement, like Cocktail Making Classes at Slug and Lettuce (minimum of 6). And there are some activities that have no minimum number requirements and no minimum charges. Spa Days spring to mind. But I have two words for you…Bottomless Brunch 🍹
If you book any activity that comes to your hen crew, there will be a minimum charge. How can you get around this?
Think Local
Is your bride into Yoga? Maybe there’s a local Yoga teacher who could come to you?
Think Creative
Is a member of your hen crew into arts and crafts? Maybe they could put together an activity to keep costs down?
If you’re thinking of a big night out in a town or city, it should be easier to organise and move the hen crew on to the next bar! It should also be less stressful booking a table for food.
For accommodation you may be able to get a place that costs less per hen (because it doesn’t have to be as big). It’s a massive positive that anything you book, you will be receiving money from less people (less people to chase!). If you’re booking a city centre hotel, it’s important to note that you can all squeeze into one room for pre-drinks and games!

Q. Where can a session be held?
A. We can come to your cottage, apartment, house…anywhere where there’s a reasonable amount of space. We can even come to a bar (if you have a private area).
Q. Are there any minimum or maximum numbers?
A. The minimum number is 6 and there is no maximum. The more hens the merrier!
Q. Can you cater for pregnant hens and hens with mobility issues?
A. Yes, all our activities and packages are designed with these in mind

A Yoga session for a hen party is, well, just like a normal Yoga class but for your hens 😀 it’s the perfect way to kick-off your hen do. Most Hen Yoga providers will be able to offer a variety of Yoga, Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, Vinayasa, whatever your bride would like.
You will get a professional instructor ready to get your girls relaxed and stretched.
Yes, from experience most Hen Yoga providers will ensure their classes are low on the scale of difficulty, while still being invigorating for experiences Yogi’s.
You will be looking at anywhere between £29-£40 per hen for a 1-hr session, and between £35-£55 for a session that is longer. It all depends on the facilitator and how far they have to travel to get to you. It’s quite challenging to find a Hen Yoga Instructor that is local to you, get in touch with us and we can support 💪
Most providers will bring mats for each hen, and will communicate this to you in advance
Providers will come to your accommodation or house.
For a small hen group (8 or less) most cottages/houses will have a room with enough space for everyone to stretch out. Hen Yoga facilitators are great at making the most of space, and even if it is a little tight for space, they will ensure it is cosy! For large groups (10+), you will need to ensure you have accommodation that has a large-ish space.
Your hens will get connected through relaxation. If your hen do has a more relaxed vibe rather than a boozy one, it will add an element of mindfulness to proceedings.
If your bride is eager to have Yoga as part of their hen do, the first two steps are: accommodation and finding a facilitator. If you’re a large group (+10) you will need to book a place that has a wide open space. And then you will need to find a facilitator, which is challenging. We know quite a few facilitators, just get in touch and we can help.
