5. Soap Box Derby

Soap Box Derby is ideal for: organisers looking for something unique that people will talk about for a long time
What’s included: The Soap Box Derby event begins with teams being allocated their own pit stop garage which will contain a basic kart, tool kit and design materials. The first challenge will be to pitch for sponsorship and get the much needed funds you need to create the best racing karts. Once you have the funds you need, you can purchase parts and extra design materials to make your kart stand out!
Once karts are created, they will be on to the MOT station to ensure the kart is safe to drive. It will then be time to determine who takes pole position with several race heats. The big finale will be head to head laps around a crazy course to see who can be first past the chequered flag! Winners are chosen based on not only their position in the race but also for best design, best-dressed driver, innovation and teamwork. Winners will be announced with a podium presentation and the obligatory bubbly spray!
